The WideTEK® 36ART-600enables contact freescanning of works of art like oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, charcoal and pastel drawings,mixed media collagesand antique works of art, with or without frames,gently and in high resolution.

 With its patent pending laser focusing, the WideTEK 36ART captures all surface textures,from the finest stroke of the brush to gouache painting techniques. Originalsare scanned with up to 600 x 600 dpi optical resolution and ICC profiles can be easily used with the scanner to guarantee truly correctcolors in the scanned image.

 Contact free scanning allowsa maximum heightof the scanned surface of up to 100 mm and a complete height of the originalof up to 200 mm. A framed work of art can be scanned directlywithout taking it out of the frame first.

 The originalsare moved under the CCD camera elements completely contact free, protecting works of art from any damage and making it possible to scan a painting that is still wet, as long asit is framed or the sides are dry enough to place the artwork on the scanningbed. Cool UV and IR-free LED illumination also protects valuable art from color distortion or damage due to excessive exposure to light.

 In cooperation with large format printers from HP, Canon and EPSON, the WideTEK® 36ART-600brings the basis for professional art reproduction. Native printer driversinstalled on the scanner make color accuracyon the resulting image even higher.

 The WideTEK® 36ART-600 was designed for archiving and reproduction of works of art. Museumscan digitize their owncollection for sale as a print or for publication on theinternet or in catalogs. Reprography specialists can offer fine art digitization as a service, which has already proven to be a lucrativemarket.
