The WideTEK® 60ART-800 enables contact-free scanning of artworks such as oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, charcoal

and pastel drawings, mixed media collages and antique artworks, with or without frames, gently and in high resolution.
With its patented laser focusing and measurement, the WideTEK® 60ART captures all surface structures, from the finest brushstrokes
to gouache painting techniques. Originals are scanned with an optical resolution of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi and ICC profiles can
easily be used with the scanner to guarantee truly accurate colors in the scanned image.
The objects to be scanned are moved fully automatically under the CCD scanning elements without the surface of the objects coming
into contact with the scanner. Thanks to this unique scanning technology, the WideTEK® 60ART digitizes surfaces up to 140 mm
high, whereby the scanned objects can be up to 240 mm thick in total. A framed work of art can be scanned directly without
removing it from the frame first. A painting can even be scanned when it is still wet, as long as it is framed or the sides are dry
enough for the artwork to be placed on the scanner bed. Cool white UV- and IR-free LED illumination protects valuable artwork
from color distortion or damage caused by excessive light exposure. A patented, laser-assisted dynamic focus adjustment
helps the user to set the optimum position of the scan head. The same lasers are also used to dynamically measure the distance at
five different positions during scanning and further help with resolution correction to avoid stitching artifacts.
Combined with commercially available large format printers, the WideTEK® 60ART-800 Fine Art Scanner forms the basis for
professional art reproduction. In addition to adapted printer drivers for HP, CANON, EPSON and others, the built-in closed loop
calibration further supports the extremely high color accuracy of the resulting printout.
Copies look so natural, especially when using the 3D scan mode on printers with 8 or more inks, that many people cannot tell the
difference between the original and the copy if viewed side by side in direct comparison.
