Wicks and Wilson manufactures a complete range of Scanstation roll film microfilm scanners capable of automatic batch conversion of both 16mm and 35mm roll film. Models are available with performance and productivity features to suit applications ranging from occasional microfilm roll conversion to multi-shift digitization projects.

All Wicks and Wilson microfilm roll film scanners feature clear graphical wizards and a fixed lens system to simplify set-up and get you scanning more quickly.

Featuring the latest in digitization and image processing technology, the 8800-series has been designed by Wicks and Wilson to automatically capture greyscale and bitonal images from roll film at the highest possible quality. The illumination and optical path, advanced new camera system and unique image processing algorithms give unparalleled imaging results from all types and formats of roll film.

Note: For the 8850 to function correctly, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card with a minimum of 1 GB on-board memory must be fitted.
The PC requires a spare PCI Express x16 double width full length slot to accommodate this type of card.
The following graphics cards have been tested successfully with the 8850: GT640,GTX580,GTX560,GTX480,GTX470, GTX285, GTX280.
The 9800GTX graphics card is not suitable for 8850 due to the limited memory capacity (512 MB).
The latest NVIDIA device driver should be obtained from www.nvidia.com
Warning, the driver provided with a new graphics card is typically six months out of date.
Memory 4 GB All this memory is used by the 8850 SCANFILM software by enabling the 3 GB switch in the boot.ini file.
